Sony has announced that Gran Turismo HD Concept will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on 23rd March to coincide with the European launch of PlayStation 3. The demo which has been out since December for American and Japanese PS3 owners was doubted by some that it would not be available for European owners when the console launches. This news hopefully clears up any anxiousness from EU folks such as myself not being able to get our hands on the game.
The GTHD demo is of course free to download, and lets you take out a total of nine cars on the Eiger Nordwand track. Setting a fast time on the track will have you entered into the online leaderboard - so there is at least something worth competing for - that is if topping online leaderboards is your thing.
Remember that Sony recently scrapped plans to continue production of the full game, instead turning their sights to Gran Turismo 5, which should be the true sequel to GT4. This obviously has a long way to go until we're able to see anything of it though. Rest assured we'll have our GT5 site set up well in time for all the news, information and media we'll be receiving.
