About Gran Turismo HD Concept

Gran Turismo HD (High Definition), previously known as Vision Gran Turismo at E3 2006, was going to be the first installment of the Gran Turismo racing series to be released on Sony's PlayStation 3. The game was cancelled on November 30th, 2006, and was instead released as a demo made available through the Playstation Store to Japanese and American console owners for free.
The game is essentially a series of free downloadable concept titles. With Polyphony Digital choosing to focus on developing Gran Turismo 5, the 'Classic' mode has been completely abandoned, while some GTHD Premium content is being released as free demos, acting as a prologue to GT5. GTHDC features ten cars and a single track, Eiger Nordwand (with normal and reverse layouts).
